Oxla Product Roadmap
Overview
This document outlines the key initiatives and milestones related to Oxla’s product development in H1 2025. We want to provide our community of users and clients with a high-level view of our strategic direction, helping them understand our priorities and timeline.
Influencing The Roadmap
Oxla Product Roadmap allows us as a company to have a clear vision of where we’re heading but also share this plan with our community. It would be unreasonable to approach this document as if it was set in stone. We constantly talk with you and analyze what data processing market looks like, making sure that we ergularly tailor our roadmap and head in the right direction serving the data processing market.
H1 2025
We are committed to providing a powerful and flexible querying experience by offering broad data source connectivity, robust transaction support, schema evolution capabilities and extended SQL functions support.
- External Data Sources: Ability to query open catalogs (e.g. Iceberg, Hive, Delta Lake), databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and other data sources (e.g. Parquet files on S3).
- Transaction Support: Serialization-level isolation, providing the ability to run multiple statements using consistent database snapshots
- Schema Modifications: Support for
ALTER schema/table/column
operations, enabling users to evolve their data models as their needs change and expand - Extended SQL Function Support: Support for window functions, aggregate functions for statistics and ordered-set aggregate functions

We want to provide exceptional performance and scalability to handle growing data volumes and increasing analytical demands. Those improvements will ensure that Oxla can handle growing data volumes and increasing user demands while maintaining high availability, real-time insights and cost efficiency.
- Improved Concurrency & Real-Time Support: Better resource management for parallel queries and scaling query-per-second capacity
- Improved Fault Tolerance: Handling node and network failures, offering dynamic cluster scaling, enhanced network failure detection and diagnostics for improved issue resolution
- Petabyte Scale: Storing and querying tens of petabytes of data
Oxla strives for upholding data security, availability and privacy through certifications. We strongly believe that it’s a key step in demonstrating our commitment to assure our customers that their data is protected and that Oxla meets the highest industry-leading security and compliance standards.
